Copying traders, common questions

Straight answers on following a trader: verification, grades, pricing and what separates a re-checkable record from an anonymous account.

The questions followers ask first

Is copy trading worth it?

Only when the trader you would follow can prove their past calls, and most cannot, because the losing months quietly disappear and a green equity curve proves nothing about timing. Paid is not the marker of quality; re-checkable is. More: the three conditions that decide it.

How do I know a trade call was not edited after the move?

Ask whether the call was timestamped to a public ledger when it was sent. If it was, changing any field — entry, target, stop or grade — would break the fingerprint and no longer match the public record. The pick anchors every call to Bitcoin this way. More: fixed before the result, and how to check one yourself.

What hit rate should a trader to copy have?

No single figure is the right one, and a figure standing alone barely means anything. A 67.5% hit rate printed with 308 calls and the losing ones still in the pile is worth far more than a 95% banner with no tally beside it. Insist on the tally before anything else. More: why the count is the whole test.

Can I follow just one model?

Yes. The single-model plan is USD 20 a month, which is exactly why you can follow one model alone without paying for the slower ones you will never act on. The all-models plan is USD 50 a month on a 14-day free trial, and there is a USD 5,000-a-quarter Pro Access tier for heavier users.

What do the A-to-D grades mean?

Each call carries a conviction grade from A (highest) to D (lowest), set by where it sits in that model's own measured return spread. There is no E grade; it was dropped in 2026 so the scale stays meaningful. Because the grade is hashed with the call, it is fixed before the outcome. More: grades that are measured, with the per-model bars.

Is following a trader the same as auto-copy or a managed account?

No. Following a trader means you receive the call and decide whether and how to act on it yourself. Auto-copy mirrors another account automatically; a managed account hands a stranger discretion over your capital. Nothing here involves giving anyone your funds or your trade button.

Are free copy-trading signals a scam?

Not by definition. The problem is verifiability and incentives, not the price tag. Many free copy channels are broker referral funnels that earn on your sign-up, so check the pay model before you trust the calls — a free source you can fully audit beats a paid one you cannot. More: the referral-pay warning sign.

Who is the recommended trader?

Darren O'Neill, the 2023 Trading World Champion, who also posted real-money results in the 2025 World Cup Trading Championships. He runs four mean-reversion models and publishes each call with a Bitcoin receipt. His record is reviewed independently rather than self-reported.
